Our Beliefs
We are a dynamic community of Christian believers who love the Lord and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives through Gods word and the love that we share to humanity through Jesus Christ living in us!
BIBLE
The bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word Of God. It is Gods revelation to humanity and our rule of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12).
GOD
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:1-3).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel’s promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. Jesus Christ died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin (John 1:29; 10:1-18; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 3:18).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In all that He does glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service. (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 4:30; Romans 8:11; 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:11; 12:1-11; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 2:3-4).
SALVATION
We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation. (John 3:16 ; John 1:29; 10:1-18; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 3:18)
BAPTISM IN WATER
The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures, by all who have really repented and in their hearts they have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Christ as an inner cleansing; thus they declare to the world Jesus, and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4; Acts 20:21; Heb. 10:22.)
THE LORD’S SUPPER
The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements, bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His coming (1 Cor. 11:26); and is enjoined on all believers “until He comes.” HEALING The redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross provides healing to the human body. Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.( James 5:14, Isaiah 53 :4-5)
CHRISTIAN LIVING
We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed. (Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 4:32, James 1:22-27)
RETURN OF JESUS
The Blessed Hope is when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His return to earth (the Second Coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. (Matthew 24:30-31, 40-44).
ETERNAL LIFE
We believe in the resurrection of believers into everlasting life and blessing in Heaven and the resurrection of unbelievers into everlasting punishment in the torments of Hell. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:10-15; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor.15:51-52)
